The YMCA Self-Defense Instructor is an unnamed woman who teaches self-defense at the Arlen YMCA. She only appears in the Season 6 episode "Bobby Goes Nuts".

When the instructor began to teach the first class of her women's self-defense course, she was confused to see the child Bobby among them. She asked him if he was in the wrong class, but he asserted that he needed to take the course. Politely rejecting his request, the instructor clarified that she was trying to build a space for women, to which Bobby responded that he hated men too. The instructor replied that she did not hate men and only hated being a victim. Agreeing that he hated being a victim as well, Bobby relayed to her his story of being beaten up and forced to eat dirt by Chane Wassanasong. Sympathizing with him, the instructor let him stay in her class.
Immediately, she told the women to grab a whistle and "prepare to be in power". The instructor stated that they would practice responding to verbal threats by keeping their cool and responding with the proper physical force. The model mugger, in his padded assailant suit, acted like he was a robber and threatened the instructor to give her purse to him. The woman shouted back that she did not know him and the purse belonged to her, kicking him in the groin in response. She then ordered Bobby to go first, remarking that she did not hate men. When Bobby hesitated to shout back at the padded assailant, the instructor advised him not to be afraid of yelling back. Accordingly, Bobby yelled back "That's my purse! I don't know you!", kicking the model mugger in the groin.
