For other characters named Tom, see Tom (disambiguation). Tom, also called Tony,[1] is a student at Tom Landry Middle School who commonly appears as a background character.
Appearance[]
Tom is a young boy with tan skin and black curly hair styled into a widow's peak. He wears a short-sleeved red T-shirt with different logos on it, on most occasions wearing a distinctive T-shirt with a lowercase "i" logo that resembles The Incredibles symbol. On a couple of occasions, his shirt will have an X symbol on it instead. This red shirt is worn over a long-sleeved white shirt, and he usually wears dark gray pants or dark gray shorts in addition to light brown sneakers.
History[]
Tom does not speak at all in the series and is frequently seen among the students at Tom Landry Middle School. One notable instance of his presence in the show was him hanging out at Bobby's house in "I Remember Mono" to wait for the latter's secret admirer, who turned out to be Bobby's maternal grandmother. Seeing Bobby being grabbed up and hugged by his grandmother, Tom and the other boys laughed. In "Love Hurts and So Does Art", he attended the middle school dance and danced with a girl. In "I'm with Cupid", he was seen talking with Connie at Joseph's Valentine's Day party and subsequently helped Joseph kick Bobby out of the Gribble residence for interrupting the party. Later, in "The Texas Panhandler", Tom was complimented by Bobby in the cafeteria for "looking good", causing him to smile.
Trivia[]
- Besides times where he is seen wearing gray gym clothes and other types of red shirts, the only time that Tom has been seen not wearing a red shirt was in "I Remember Mono" when he wore a yellow shirt which, like his normal shirt, had an "i" logo on it.
