The Souphanousinphone family (Lao: ສຸພານຸສິນພອນ) is a major family featured in all seasons of the King of the Hill series. Their home is located on Rainey Street next door to the Hill residence and they are neighbors to Hank, Peggy, Bobby, Luanne, and Lady Bird. The Souphanousinphone family immigrated to the United States from Luang Prabang, Laos after previously living in Orange County, Portland and Mississippi. They are a Buddhist family that believes in karma and reincarnation. They celebrate Pimai, the Lao New Year, and Magha Puja, a religious Theravada Buddhist festival. They are friends with the Wassanasong family members Ted, Cindy, and Chane; another Laotian American family in the series. They are active within the Laotian community such as that in Little Laos in Arlen, Texas.
