A hilarious slice of middle-class life in small-town America, King of the Hill has become one of the most beloved and long-running prime-time animated series in television history. Outrageously funny, but remarkably truthful, the series follows the exploits of propane salesman Hank Hill (Mike Judge) as he reigns over a family of underachievers, a group of beer-guzzling friends, and the everyday challenges of life in Arlen, Texas. Comprised of all 15 episodes from season nine, this two-disc collection features guest appearances from Jason Bateman and Johnny Knoxville.

The Complete Ninth Season

This is the ninth King of the Hill box set, released on April 7, 2015. It contains all fifteen episodes from the ninth season (2004-2005) spread across two DVDs.

The set features Dolby Digital 2.0 audio in English and Spanish, and is presented in full-frame, with optional closed captions and subtitles in English.

This set was released the same day as the Season 10 DVD and approximately ten years after Season 9 concluded.

Cover Artwork

The front cover of the DVD features the "King of the Hill" trademarked logo on the top of the cover with a wooden board strung up that reads, "The Complete 9th Season". Featured on the cover is Hank Hill struggling to ride a horse with several cattle in the background, while Bobby Hill is in the foreground with his hands near his mouth yelling during a sunrise or sunset.

The spine of the DVD features the "King of the Hill" trademarked logo and the subtitle "The Complete Ninth Season" in capital letters placed sideways.

The back cover of the DVD features the "King of the Hill" trademarked logo during a sunrise or sunset with a text description of the season. Bobby has his hands near his mouth yelling with several cattle in the background.

Trivia

• The DVD cover features two characters from the series, the least amount featured on the DVD covers in the collection.
• This is the first DVD cover to not feature main character Peggy Hill as she has appeared consecutively from the Season 1 to Season 8 DVD covers.
• This is the second instance where the brown picket fence is not featured on a cover, it appeared consecutively from the Season 5 to Season 8 DVD covers.
• The horse Hank is riding looks similar to Tennessee from Season 9 episode "A Rover Runs Through It", however it is a difference horse as it does not have white hair on its snout and has a different colored mane.
