Season 2 of King of the Hill premiered on September 21, 1997 and was broadcasted at the 8:30-9:00 PM Sunday timeslot on FOX. The DVD set was released on November 11, 2003. The season is particularly memorable for the death of Luanne's boyfriend Buckley in a propane explosion, the first death of any character in the series.
