Trivia[]

  • Hank watching Property Twins on TV is a reference to Property Brothers.
  • Chane's comments on how "Fox stupidly canceled [King of the Grill] 15 years ago", and Bobby's reply on how "they're bringing it back" is a meta reference to King of the Hill itself, and how the original run of the show aired its final (broadcasted) episode on May 6, 2010, 15 years before the revival's first season aired.
  • Bobby holds 15% ownership of the Robata Chane business, at the expense of receiving a reduced salary himself; stating that he makes the same amount as Emilio.

Quotes[]

"Peggy: (looking at her tablet) Well, would you look at this? Minh started a lifestyle blog! Well, good for her. Unsubscribe."

"Peggy: (in the garage with her husband) "Okay, I know I said I was fine about 'settling into retirement' but I do not know Hank. It just feels like everyone else is doing bigger and better things with their lives. Even Bill!
Hank: Bill's not doing better anything.
Peggy: Well, I just ran into Bill outside, and he says he's going to North Arlen to hang out with his boys.
Hank: Ugh, he called them his 'boys'? He is really fallin' off the reality wagon."

"Hank: (outside the barber shop) What the hell, Bill?!
Bill: I'm sorry, but pretending to be married to Peggy gave me the confidence to make new friends. I mean who wouldn't like the kind of man who was able to get Peggy?
Hank: You photoshopped my wife's head onto some... buxom trollop. Now, I have to imagine you looking at that and... [pause] and "enjoying" it. It's a half a commandment short of adultery Bill!"

"Hank: Look, am I going to have to kick your ass, "BD"?!
Bill: You can't push me around anymore. I have the strength that comes from the love of a good woman!
Hank: You aren't married to Peggy!"

"Peggy: I bet Black Barbershop Peggy would've gotten a job at the community college.
Hank: Because she's Black?
Peggy: No Hank! Because she's probably not boring like I am. I bet Black Barbershop Peggy is leading and exciting life with lots of friends and taking fun, fun trips. Oh! It would probably be like that movie Girls Trip."

"Hank: Are you having some kind of social gathering?
Bill: Yeah... sort of. Sorry for all the cars and noise. But, you can tell Peggy I put an end to the lie.
Hank: Well that's great. Don't you feel better now that the truth is out?
Bill: Oh I didn't tell them the truth.
Hank: Okay. Did you tell them that you're getting divorced?
Bill: I could NEVER divorce Peggy. She was the love of my life, so I just told everyone Peggy died.
Hank: You what?!"

"Peggy: Did he end the charade?
Hank: Oh he ended it alright, by telling everyone that you died.
Peggy: What?!"
