History[]
Season 2[]
In "Peggy's Turtle Song," Bobby Hill acted hyper-actively as a result from eating a lot of sugar that morning. Annoyed by his disruptive behavior, the teacher sent the boy to Nurse Jennings, who misdiagnoses Bobby with ADD and claimed that he had had it for years, unaware the boy had simply consumed too much sugar that morning. Bobby's father Hank visited her office and was surprised to hear the news. Jennings recommended putting Bobby on ADD medication, a suggestion which Hank was hesitant to do at first until the nurse clarified that the only other treatment option was to send the boy to a special needs school. In response, Hank insulted the school as "you bastards" and he put Bobby on medication.
Season 5[]
In "What Makes Bobby Run?", Jennings was one of many people who was furious with Bobby for cowardly running away from a game to avoid a tradition involving being beaten by the other team. When Bobby returned to school and talked with Connie, Jennings smacked the books out of his arms. He was surprised that a nurse was bullying him, but she continued to glare at him and ordered him to pick up the books, knocking them down again after the boy did so.
