History[]
Season 2[]
In "Propane Boom", when Mega Lo Mart began including a wider variety of products at low prices, several businesses shut down due to the competitive pricing. McJimsey, the owner of the automotive business Just Brake Drums, was put out of business. Subsequently, he began to work for Mega Lo Mart since they were the only company at the time hiring people with his specialization. One day, seeing the new employee Hank Hill being dismayed during his door greeter shift, McJimsey consoled him by saying that he would hardly miss the respect in due time. Hank recognized him as the owner of Just Brake Drums, but McJimsey clarified his former owner status and how he came to work for the same company which put him out of business. Walking together, the two fraternized with other employees, including their mutual friend Ray Holiday. The three were interrupted by the supervisor Jose, and McJimsey followed Ray's protest of not wearing the trainee tags until Jose threatened to fire them.
That night, Hank gathered McJimsey, Ray and Joe behind the store to plan a protest of Chuck Mangione's visit for his "America Loves Mega Lo Mart" concert. Hearing Hank's proposal to use kazoos to disrupt the concert, Ray compared the rebellion to Queer Nation, a reference which baffled the men. McJimsey claimed that their rebellion made them like the Boston Tea Party, a reference which everyone understood. On the day of the concert, McJimsey took a kazoo from Hank and waited in the front of the crowd for the concert to begin. Because Hank forgot to tell them how to properly use the musical instrument, McJimsey and the other two men blew into the kazoo, making a faint noise rather than a loud noise. At that moment, a banner reading "Mega Lo Mart destroys small businesses" unrolled from the stage, but a gas leak in the store's propane department caused a huge explosion, scaring away McJimsey and the rest of the crowd.
Season 3[]
In "Take Me Out of the Ball Game", long after the propane explosion at Mega Lo Mart, McJimsey played on the Mega Lo Mart company softball team, showing that he still worked for them despite the fall in reputation for the superstore. McJimsey and the other teammates were struck out by Peggy Hill, making Strickland Propane win the match.
