Joshua was a white cat owned by Junie Harper. He only appeared in the Season 2 episode "Hilloween."

On Wednesday, October 29 when Luanne Platter visited Junie Harper's house, Joshua was being petted by Harper when she let him go to ask Luanne about her failed attempt to convince her uncle Hank that Halloween was a "Satanic holiday." The cat then walked to his bowl and ate some cat food. That night, Joshua exited Harper's house to walk around outside. Wanting her cat back inside, Harper at first calmly called for him but then shouted his name in impatience. After Harper returned inside, Hank and Bobby tried to teepee the house when the latter accidentally knocked over a birdhouse, startling Joshua. Hearing the birdhouse break, Harper exited the house while the startled cat hid right under the front right tire of Harper's car. Entering and quickly starting her car to pursue the Hills, Harper immediately slammed on the gas pedal to reverse the vehicle and ran over Joshua, who let out a loud meow and was assumed to be killed upon impact.
The next day on October 30, Harper had put Joshua's corpse into a cooler and went to the Arlen City Hall that evening to express her contempt toward the celebration of Halloween. Rather than taking accountability for accidentally killing Joshua, Harper exploited his death by falsely blaming the incident on "Satanists" and showed the corpse to the council members, who were horrified to see the dead feline. In response to seeing the murdered Joshua, the council members agreed to install a curfew on Harper's behalf which cancelled Halloween in Arlen, though Hank Hill and his neighbors decided to break the curfew.
