The Heimlich County Zoo is a zoo in Heimlich County.

History[]

Season 7[]

In the episode "Vision Quest", Bobby Hill went on a field trip there and saw the popular exhibition with giant pandas. He bought a panda-shaped bottle containing a Chinese energy drink. Around the same time, Joseph Gribble learned from a crowd of delinquent kids led by Steve that they were going to sneak into the zoo to drug the pandas and then paint their names on them. Joseph was reluctant to do so until his father Dale encouraged him to go further by killing a panda to score popularity with the delinquents. Dale drove Joseph at night to the zoo, where they knocked down the gates with the Bugabago.

Later the same night, Steve, Jake and Dave arrived and saw the broken gate, and they went to the panda exhibition where they saw Joseph aiming a bow and arrow at the pandas, impressed by him. The pandas woke up and walked toward Joseph, who then became ambivalent again about killing the pandas. John Redcorn came by in time to warn Joseph that he should not kill the pandas, and with the pressure between Dale and Redcorn on Joseph, Joseph accidentally let an arrow fly that Redcorn caught. Joseph clarified that he did not mean to shoot the arrow and declared that he would not kill the pandas, disappointing the delinquents. Hank threatened to call the police on the delinquents, who accordingly departed.

Season 11[]

In the episode "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow", Redcorn performed one of his songs to children at a bandstand in the zoo. As he was finishing the song, he was delighted to see Nancy Gribble, who had wanted to continue her affair with Redcorn to cure her hair loss caused by stress. When Nancy told the park guard that she wanted to see Redcorn, the guard thought that she was just another middle-aged woman who was awed by Redcorn's attractiveness until Redcorn himself invited Nancy behind the barricade. The two then walked through the zoo to get on the train that would bring them to Redcorn's hotel, but Dale arrived at the park and professed his desire to be with Nancy at that time since he thought the world was going to end. He expressed his deepest feelings for her and encouraged her to come with him as soon as possible. When Nancy looked at Redcorn, he smiled in agreement that she should return to her husband instead.
