Heck Dorland is a firefighter for the Arlen Fire Department in Arlen, Texas. He lives on Milton Street, a rival street directly behind Rainey Street. Heck is voiced by Earl Houston Bullock in the Season 3 episode "A Fire Fighting We Will Go" and by Stephen Stanton in the Season 13 episode "Born Again on the Fourth of July".

In "How to Fire a Rifle Without Really Trying", Hank states he is too busy to participate in the shooting competition as he has to check in with Heck Dorlan to buy his motorcycle.

In "A Fire Fighting We Will Go", Bill joins the Arlen Fire Department as a volunteer under Heck. Excited at the opportunity, Hank, Dale, and Boomhauer decide to sign up and despite some mishaps during training, the four men become part of the department.

In "Born Again on the Fourth of July", Hank and his friends are in a rivalry with Milton Street over who has the best Fourth of July fireworks display, their rivalry with Heck Dorland leads them to take their competition to dangerous levels.
