The Gribble family is a major family featured in all seasons of the King of the Hill series. The primary family unit consists of Dale Gribble, Nancy Gribble-Hicks, and their son, Joseph Gribble. Their home is located on Rainey Street next door to the Hill residence and they are neighbors to Hank, Peggy, Bobby, Luanne, and Lady Bird. The Gribble family is, unbeknownst to Dale, interconnected with the Redcorn family, due to Nancy's infidelity and secret love affair with John Redcorn.

- Dale's father, Bug Gribble, debuts in the Season 1 episode "The Order of the Straight Arrow".
Season 5[]
- Connie and Joseph share their first on-screen kiss in the Season 5 episode "I Don't Want to Wait...", causing Bobby Hill to temporarily break up with Connie. Joseph plants a kiss on Minh Souphanousinphone as she is tending to his bloody nose, upsetting Connie.
- During Thanksgiving, Dale makes a toast to "John Redcorn III" ("the third") in the Season 5 episode "Spin the Choice", revealing that Redcorn's father (Joseph's grandfather) is John Redcorn, Jr. and Redcorn's grandfather (Joseph's great-grandfather) is John Redcorn, Sr..
- Dale's mother, Mrs. Gribble, debuts in Dale's nightmare about the dummy Chip Block in the Season 5 episode "Now Who's the Dummy?".
Season 6[]
- Dale owns a pet falcon, named Falcon, making a one-time appearance as of the Season 6 episode "Unfortunate Son".
- It is revealed that Bug Gribble is in a relationship with Juan Pedro in the Season 6 episode "My Own Private Rodeo".
- Nancy mentions that John Redcorn has a sister in the Season 6 episode "My Own Private Rodeo".

- Nancy's mother, Bunny Hicks, debuts in the Season 11 episode "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow".
Season 12[]
- John Redcorn's daughter, Kate, makes her debut in the in the Season 12 episode "Untitled Blake McCormick Project", along with her half-brother Drew and their mother, Charlene. Unbeknownst to Joseph, Kate is also his half-sister.
