Trivia[]
- The episode title is a play on the song "Girl You'll be a Woman Soon" by Neil Diamond.
- The mansion Peggy wants to visit, the "Baxter Death Mansion", was likely inspired by the murder of Daniel and Linda Broderick by his ex-wife, Betty. Similar to the Baxters, Betty had worked to put Daniel through medical school early in their marriage, though he later left her for his assistant, Linda. Enraged, Betty killed the couple while they slept. Betty was portrayed by Meridith Baxter in the Lifetime film about her crime, which is where the name of the mansion may come from.
- Big Tex, the State Fair's giant mascot, is voiced by Phil Hendrie.
- This episode is the second time that a fair is the setting of Luanne jumping into political issues without putting much thought into action. In "The Perils of Polling", she ends up backing the Communist Party candidate due to viewing the candidate as good-looking.
