Full Metal Dust Jacket is the one hundred-thirty-fourth episode of King of the Hill. It was first aired on January 5, 2003. The episode was written by Dan McGrath, and directed by Adam Kuhlman.

After being rejected from a ladies' book club, Peggy buys the lease of a bookstore where the members bought their books. She is ecstatic about this, until she learns books are not exactly hot items in the Arlen economy. Dale has been using the store space to sell unregistered firearms and convincing the local cops that the guns were part of a free giveaway, as well as paying Peggy part of the profits, or her "cut" for allowing this on her property. Peggy is uneasy with this, but sees this black market activity as the only way to stay afloat. Eventually Peggy goes to a book club meeting and makes a fool of herself when she came across as a ”windbag” in front of the core members of the book club. After feeling down on her luck Peggy, with Hanks help, realizes that the men buying guns were actually reading these books she was giving away. Interestingly, she soon starts up a book club of her own in her living room with Dales’ gun clientele as her members.

  • The title could either be a reference to Stanley Kubrick's 1987 Vietnam War movie, Full Metal Jacket or the Full Metal Jacket bullet, which is a bullet with a soft metal core incased in a harder metal.
