"Dream Weaver" is the two hundred-twenty-second episode of King of the Hill. It was first aired on December 16, 2007. The episode was written by Jennifer Barrow and directed by Ken Wong.
Summary[]
When Nancy demands Dale get a real job, he goes to a vocational session to pursue his dream of basket weaving.
Plot[]
Nancy, fed up with Dale's lack of income contribution to the household, asks Dale to find a new job. Peggy provides Dale with a brochure that lists "Vocation Vacations" for individuals to explore technical skills in a particular career. Hank lets Dale choose which vocation he would like to participate in, and to his chagrin, Dale ends up choosing basket weaving. Hank ends up going with Dale to the basket weaving school at Hooper Basket Factory, and surprisingly, Hank ends up not only excelling at the skill but enjoying it. However, Dale performs terribly and ends up catching Hank and a few professional basket weavers making fun of him. Dale, in revenge, tries to kill Hank with a forklift. Hank survives and ends up convincing the class to pretend there is a bug infestation, in turn allowing Dale to "destroy" the infestation and restore his confidence. The other members of the class are impressed by Dale's work and outfit and want to learn more about extermination. Subsequently, Dale ends up creating his own "vocation vacation" business where he has students shadowing him during his exterminations.
In the second plot of the episode, Bill wears a cowboy hat and it miraculously flies off his head onto Kahn's head when a gust of wind blows by. The gang, including Peggy, tries to recreate the act on a video but ends up failing miserably.

Trivia[]
- Bobby mentions how he missed the time the wiener mobile drove by. This is a reference to the Season 3 episode "Wings of the Dope" when Luanne almost ran into it as she was talking to Buckley's angel.
- Peggy posts the hat video to an online platform called "See Me." The design of the website's logo and the website itself is inspired by YouTube.
- One item of memorabilia on Dale's shelf is a cassette tape labeled "Courtney Love's Confession". This is based on a popular, though unfounded, theory that Love's husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was murdered rather than killed himself, and that Love was behind it.
