History[]
Season 7[]
When he heard another officer report a 149, Doug pulled up to the intersection and asked his fellow officer if he caught the North Side Burglar. Retorting that he caught Bill being publicly intoxicated, the officer rhetorically asked Doug if he thought a 149 was a burglary. Confused, Doug answered that he thought he heard him say over the police radio that he had caught the North Side Burglar. Speaking up, Bill angrily told him that the other officer indeed mentioned a 149. Doug remained silent and baffled at the response until Bill drunkenly clarified that he was drunk.
Sometime later, after Bill voluntarily stayed in jail for two more days in order to stay away from Hank, Doug spoke with two other officers about how Bill was thinking of confessing to the burglaries committed by the North Side Burglar. Overhearing them, Hank decided to get himself arrested so that he could dissuade Bill from falsely confessing to the burglaries.
