Not to be confused with Doug (Arlen Police Department) or Doug Diamond. Doug is the boy's basketball coach at Tom Landry Middle School. He only appears once in the Season 2 episode "Bobby Slam".

Doug is an elderly Caucasian man with a skinny build, pale skin, and short gray hair. He wears a blue jacket, a whistle around his neck, blue track pants, and black sneakers.

In Tom Landry Middle School's auditorium, he attempted to recruit male students to play basketball by marketing it as "the only sport where you get to bounce a ball." Giving examples, he added that footballs, baseballs and hockey pucks could not be bounced. Encouraging them to join the basketball team, Doug thanked them for listening and walked off stage. Later, he accompanied Coach Kleehammer to the gymnasium trying to get Peggy to move the girls' general sports out of the gym so he can have more room to practice. When Peggy replied that she needed a general area for general sports, Kleehammer told her that Doug invented general sports, which he perceived as "busy work". Kleehammer also stated that general sports were not meant to take up space, prompting Doug to nod in agreement. Although Peggy still refused the request, she and the female students were forced to take their activities outside. On another day, Doug helped Kleehammer dismiss the end of the male student's training with the blow of a whistle.
