Assistant Pastor Larry is the assistant pastor at Arlen First Methodist Church.
He is a minor character throughout the series. He had only major role in Peggy's Fan Fair where it is learned he went to divinity school in Nashville, Tennessee where he supposedly grew up. In the episode, he leads the church group to Nashville for the fair and immediately takes a disliking towards Peggy when she hijacks the trip. He sees Peggy as narcissi tic and selfish, pointing out that she is full of herself. After learning that Randy Travis's trailer fell into the lake after Peggy, Bill, and Dale toilet papered it, he saw it as a murder attempt because he stole Peggy's song. He goes so far as to call the police on her, claiming her to be a creepy stalker fan.
