"A Sounder Investment" is the tenth and final episode in the fourteenth season, and the 269th episode overall. It aired on August 4, 2025. This episode was written by Marcelina Chavira and directed by Michael Baylis.[2]

Summary[]

Hank and Peggy's friends start a pig eradication business, but Hank is hesitant to join them. Meanwhile, Bobby and Connie struggle to bond as adults.

  • This episode features the first appearance of Buck Strickland in the revival and is also his only appearance in Season 14. Like Hank, he has retired from his propane business.
  • This episode is dedicated to Jonathan Joss, who, like Victor Aaron, voiced John Redcorn and died. While Aaron died in a car accident, Joss was shot and killed on June 1, 2025. This episode is also his final time where he voiced John Redcorn.
  • It is revealed that John Redcorn now drives a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Most likely bought after giving his old Jeep Wrangler to Joseph.
  • Luanne and Lucky appear in a framed picture in the Hill residence.
  • The episode's title is a play on the phrase "sound investment" and a "sounder" (the collective noun for a group of wild boar or hogs).
  • The truck’s that are given to Boomhauer, Dale, Bill and Peggy are matching black highly modified Ram 2500’s.
